What Does Auditing of Companies Mean?
With accreditation as a monitoring body under Article 41 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), companies subject to the BABE-CoC can now directly commission audits from lawvision. The audits specified in the GDPR can then be carried out accordingly by lawvision. Upon successful completion of an audit, an appropriate "CoC Seal/Certificate" is issued, providing the audited company with independent proof that the agreed-upon codes of conduct are being properly adhered to in compliance with GDPR requirements.
Benefits of an Audit
Audited companies enjoy two significant advantages:
-
Clear Quality Proof
It serves as a clear quality certification for both existing and prospective clients, increasingly being required, especially in tenders and contract awards. -
Enhanced Security
It provides a safeguard against the risk of severe penalties, which can reach up to EUR 20 million, offering a significant level of protection.
